Brasserie Sagesse
The Brasserie Sagesse is a brewpub, a friendly bar offering organic craft beers brewed by Nicolas at the heart of his microbrewery. The multi-award-winning craf t brewer Nicolas develop s delicious re cip e s to please all types of beer aficionados. He loves sharing his passion and wants to see beer culture recognized in gastronomic heritage. Among the greats, the Hachette Guide to Beer recommends “la Reine des Plages” paired with seafood and “La Fiancée du Pirate” as the perfect introduction to the taste of toasted malt. Discover too “La Peine de Mort”, an imperial IPA Habanero that will spice up your late evenings. Nicolas is also developing a beer chai aged in oak barrels. What is your favourite spot in the Pays d’Auge? Villerville. I like to think I’m in the film A Monkey in Winter. Since I’m a film buff, our beers are named after movies and music. Often vintage and always a little off-center, can you recognize them all?
What is the greatest compliment one could pay you? “Oh, that’s good! What is it?” I like hearing the reaction of someone surprised by the taste of hops. There are always more flavours I can introduce you to.
