At La Vie de Cocagne, you can unwind and forget the noise of the city. Caroline and Thierry have made a sanctuary out of this former stable from the 18th century nestled in the middle of the fields. The name La Vie de Cocagne comes from a famous French song which Thierry had been listening to while working in Paris, missing Normandy. Between molding, Rose Cumming fabrics, Jane Churchill wallpaper, and secondhand furniture given a new life, they have created character out of elegant and quirky décor, new as of this winter: “When everyone else is going with the same furnisher, we wanted to return to timeless classics,” says Caroline. The half-timbered house has 2 ensuite bedrooms, a living room with cathedral ceiling, a heated Jacuzzi, and modern comforts like Apple TV and 4K screen. The pantry is ready, as well as recommendations for places to visit. You’ll come back again and again!
