“I was told I had a killer CV, so I went into business for myself,” says David Paumard. After 18 years in Paris, he came back to the Cotentin area and created Conciergerie 2.0 in 2023. In 3 seasons, he went from 5 houses to 28: contemporary villas, longhouses furnished in “anti-Ikea” style, wood cabins, etc. “I don’t do formulaic decor. Each house must have soul.” Unlike the big platforms, David brings a human element to his services. “No key boxes. I do check-ins and check-outs myself, and guests can call me anytime during their stay.” He provides Nuxe products, slippers, and welcome baskets filled with local treats as well as on-request services like private chef, babysitter, massages, groceries, and horseback riding. David wants to be known as “the little Collectionist of the Cotentin” and will soon launch a website for travelers searching for luxury vacations.
