Ôde à la Chaussure
Ôde à la Chaussure is a shoe shop for men and women that also offers a selection of accessories (bags, belts, Cherbourg umbrellas...) and even ballroom dance shoes. Fabienne Bouvet took over the shop in 2020 with one main goal: her clients’ satisfaction. She wants each client to find their ideal shoes, both elegant and comfortable. While her main product is dress shoes, the shop also offers “comfort” shoes which are made to order by a French artisan. Among the brands, you will find Brunate, Lodi, and Maretto for women; and Lloyd, Gianni Emporio, and Flecs for men; as well as French brands JMG Houcke and Azurée; plus, Werner Kern, German specialist in ballroom shoes.
What is your favourite spot in the Mont-Saint-Michel Bay area?
The crossing of the Bay from the Bec d’Andaine site. Hiking in the shadow of this majestic edifice always reminds me of the sheer luck I have to live in this magnificent region.
