Rejine Halimi
Artist Rejine Halimi uses painting and photography to “bring people together and give back.” In 2019, she set up a studio-workshop in Honfleur where she works, lives and welcomes all who wish to discover her work. Her latest expos demonstrate human emotion and the search for meaning. Memory of a Smile, a series of portraits of Holocaust survivors, evokes smiles, memory and joy, and speaks to the victory of life over hell. In spring 2021, Honfleur shared Rejine’s artistic world in large-format photographs. Rejine says of her approach, “While painting, I’m a photographer; while taking photos, I’m a painter.” She is also an art therapist for all ages, in groups or individually.
