For 20 years, the Auberge de la Touques has been the foodie heartbeat of Pont-l’Évêque. There, Béatrice and Jacky Libralato serve a modern, local cuisine with a warm welcome. “We fell in love with this charming inn from 1740 and its location on the water,” says Béatrice. In the kitchen, Chef Sébastien Bellargent brings a contemporary flair: “He has traveled a lot and loves fusing local with Japanese touches.” His menu changes with the seasons, and features Norman veal chop and whole fish grilled on the summer barbecue. With 50 covers in the dining room and 60 on the flowery terrace, the inn welcomes regulars and newcomers alike: “Some come back every summer. We even see multiple generations of the same family.” Weddings, birthdays, company events, seafood platters to order, jazz concerts, TV spots: the Auberge is full of surprises.
